Knee injury a few years back and now have a strange growth of some sort underneath the skin which has gradually appeared and grown over time ?

Exam : I wish I could answer more clearly, but without an exam of such a growth, this is hard to say what that might be. If it is painful, definitely see a provider for an exam. May be cyst, foreign body or abscess.
