A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sound of Hunger: Borborygmi (gurgling sound) associated with hunger, which is thought to cause secretion of hormones that trigger contractions within the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. With no food to muffle the sound, you end up with the audible growling that feels like it can be heard a mile away. Avoid gaseous food, overeating, acidic foods. Eat slowly, regularly, drink water. Avoid anxiety triggers, Avoid sugar!
