Exam needed: The combination of severe head pain and vomiting is worrisome and I feel it calls for urgent evaluation in the hospital emergency room where prompt examination and testing can be carried out. A brain ct scan may be part of the evaluation. However a nonserious illness like a viral gastroenterologist tract infection could be the cause of the symptoms.
