Possibly: Some birth control pills are designed for shorter, lighter periods. For some women, periods stop altogether, and this is normal. If it is concerning that you do not have periods with your current pills, you can discuss this with your doctor and get a different pill that will not cause your periods to stop. Either way, if taken as prescribed, the pills do protect from pregnancy.
