I know its early in the flu season, but how effective does the 2018-2019 vaccine seem to be against the strains that are circulating now?

Too early to tell: The CDC will provide data as i becomes available but at this point their reports are limited to regional prevalence. Texas, Washington state, West Virginia & Guam are experiencing significant flu activity as are some states on the northeast.
