Ovulatory symptoms: At 30 and beyond, the stimulation of the ovaries to produce eggs is sufficient to occasionally make two egges mature simultaneously. The estrogen levels on these occasions is double, so when pre-ovulatory estrogen drops to near zero, it is similar to a pre-menstrual time, and bloating and pressure will occur just prior to ovulation, as it does pre=menstrually.
