Eat healthy, eat less: To lose a pound a week, eat 500 calories less a day than you regularly eat. This can be accomplished by increasing your consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables to 5-7 servings a day. Have at least two servings of fruits and vegetables at each meals, and vegetables generally have less calories than fruit. Try to avoid fried and fatty foods.
