Epididymitis?: At your age (31) probably epididymitis, an infection usually due to gonorrhea or chlamydia. Epididymitis is the most common STD complication in men, although some cases are due to non-STD bacteria. Sudden onset can be torsion (twisted testicle), requiring immediate surgery to save the testicle, but rare beyond age 25. TB of the testicle can do this, and so can testicular cancer.
