Sure: Ovulation does not always occur at the predicted time. Sometimes ovulation comes early, sometimes late and sometimes not at all. This is one of the many reasons Obgyns recommend birth control for those who are sexually active and do not wish to get pregnant. We can not always explain why one period comes late.
