Maybe: This is common and preferable when/if conditions are favorable. If the conditions are not, like having a breach baby, a large baby with a small pelvis, a difficult labor that stalls, etc. it may be necessary to do a c-section.In the US it is common for moms who desire this to undergo a trial of labor & vaginal delivery with a delivery room set up to convert to c/s if problems arise.
