No: Canker sores not caused by bacteria, so antibiotic not effective. They are self limiting, disappearing on their own in a few days. Your Dentist can treat them with lasers. You can dab Milk of Magnesia on the sores, or OTC Dental Pain Relief products.

Cold sore is herpes: Cold sores are on the lips or on the face near the lips. They are caused by recurrences of herpes virus, which lives in the nerves after an initial infection, and then travel down the nerves to cause the cold sores at the skin surface from time to time. Canker sores are inside the mouth, and are not from herpes, but are due to the immune system reacting to something on the inside of the mouth.

Yes: Orlistat works by inhibiting the secretion of the gastric and pancreatic enzymes that help you to absorb fat. This shouldn't affect your ability to absorb clindamycin. There is no interaction between the two drugs. Make sure you doctor knows that you're taking both.

Canker sores: Canker sores are most likely caused by a virus that lays dormant within your body. During times of stress the virus can cause one of these sores. Also, toothpastes and mouthwashes that contail sls, or sodium lauryl sulfate, can increase the incidence of sores in those who have had them before. Finding oral hygiene products without sls will help decrease the incidence of canker sores.
