Baby (7 months) seems to have sinus issues. nose is blocked, red inside & mucus is red too. i use sterima daily and pead idialine drops once every 2nd day or so. we have humidifier on in the room . what else can we do? does she need stronger meds?

Common problem: Infants have narrow nasal passages that are more sensitive to irritants than adults & plug easily. Their para-nasal sinuses are not developed @ 7 mo. Avoiding all fumes, dust, smoke or other irritants is important in these kids. The most effective treatment is a vigorous nasal saline washout followed by suction. Medications are no help.
