Warm is okay: Sustained high temperatures in the first trimester have been associated with birth defects. If the water was warm - body temperature or so, then there are no worries. The concern would be when in a hot tub at ~102-105 degrees F for a sustained amount of time. Some information has shown that the temperatures would need to be elevated for hours to have an effect on the fetus.
