Deep ? The basics.: To establish a pregnancy sperm needs to reach the internal structure of a woman's reproductive system. In theory, sperm in the outer vagina could swim (they have tails that wiggle) within the mucous of the vagina & reach the cervix. From there they would take the same route as deeply deposited sperm to the Fallopian tubes where conception occurs. The chances are likely less but real.
