Cut nail: As long as the nail bed wasn't damaged the nail should slowly heal without permanent deformity. Keep the nail clean and dry and avoiding putting nail polish on the injured area. Protect with tape or bandaid. If unusual pain, swelling or finger redness develop see a physician for evaluation. I assume you're up to date with tetanus shot within 10 years.
