Cure ?: Chickenpox will usually run its course over a period of a week. It is more worrisome in adults than kids with the potential for varicella pneumonia and death, but this is rare. In most, they will develop 250-300 sores in waves over a period of 6 days. Antiviral meds can calm the condition in severe cases but won't cure it. They are considered contagious from the day before sores start for 7days.
