Is it possible i could be getting the flu? my friends brother had it, i shared food with her, and i show some of the symptoms of flu. she is sick too!

Yes: It s definitely possible if the virus was passed to you from the food your shared with her.

Maybe: Flu is relatively common at some times of the year & direct contact with a case will likely be enough to spread it. Contact with an uninfected relative would not be a likely exposure unless that person were in the later stage of incubating flu & already spreading the virus. It sounds like the one you had contact with may have it.
