Wart viruses: One's eyes are not that sharp, meaning we only see warts they they get big enough. Warts are caused by viruses which cause skin cells to grow abnormally in a lump. Usually, it is weeks or months after a new wart has been growing before a person can see the wart. In the beginning, it is just too small to be seen.

Virus: All warts are caused by strains of the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) that are acquired by casual contact. The type & location are specific to the strains involved. They usually cling to the skin surface of the tissue involved, start out tiny & can grow over time. Since they are a surface dweller ( avoiding the blood) they avoid the human immune response for a long time.
