A member asked:

Does typhoid vaccine protect against all strains of typhoid bacteria? what are the side effects of the typhoid vaccine?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Which one ?: There are 2 Typhoid vaccines licensed in the US. Both the Oral and injected forms are considered best available efforts to protect against Typhoid but none will guarantee protection against all strains. Vaccines are never a good substitute for proper selection of food & drink sources that may carry the germ. Both can produce fever, aches & pains, nausea, vomiting & diarrhea.
