Can you tell me exactly when is it a good time to start screening for breast cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Age 50 or earlier: Mammograms can detect breast cancer at any age, but the biggest benefit is between the ages of 50 and 74. Starting in your 40's or earlier, or continuing on past age 74 is an individual decision based on risks and preferences. For a complete list of preventive recommendations by age/gender and risk factors (if you have an ipad/ipod/ipad see the prevention checklist 2013 app.
