Paternity: Based on what you are describing, there is no way to know the paternity of the pregnancy without doing a paternity test. You should discuss this with your doctor, as there are paternity tests available during pregnancy, before you would deliver.

Get tested: The NIPS is a non invasive test that takes fetal cells found in your blood and tests paternity or other issues as needed. It is usually performed as early as 8-10 wks so you can get a head start on sorting out the issues involved. The NIPS will stand up in court during paternity proceedings. An OBGYN or your regular doc can usually arrange this testing for you.
