A member asked:

Hi there. is orelox effective in treating uti's please?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe: Orelox, also known as Cefpodoxime, is a cephalosporin antibiotic that may be effective in treating a UTI. However, UTIs can be caused by many different types of bacteria, not all of which are susceptible to this antibiotic. Some bacteria are resistant to certain antibiotics. If you think you have a UTI, it is best to be treated under the supervision of a doctor and have a urine culture done.
