A member asked:

Had sex on 18,19,25&29 june, hcg level on 1 july less than 1 not zero as usual .. is there a hope of pregnancy that is not detected yet? period 15 jun

Maybe. Maybe not.: A woman with regular periods does not need a pregnancy test until after missing her regular period. A urine pregnancy test gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have occurred), or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon, and thus lead to a repeat test.
