Many: Outside hip pain can be caused by bursitis, muscle strains, tendonitis, it band dysfunction, referred from the spine. Inner hip (groin) pain can be related to problems in the hip joint (ball and socket) and/or referred from the pelvis organs and other places. Go see your doctor.
