Hard to say: At 2, a kid is expected to have about 5-7 upper respiratory viruses and 2-3 diarrhea viruses/yr. Fever is often the first stage of any illness, with other signs/patterns revealing more information over the next day or so. If the kid never has other symptoms, his immune system may just fight it off before it does more.
