6-7 wks pregnant ?'s: If your dates ("6.5 wks ") of pregnancy were confirmed by ultrasound as being intrauterine, this kind of "brown blood" discharge may be due to the cessation of progesterone made in the ovary, with a drop in progesterone occurring prior to the placenta taking over. See your OB provider for possible supplementation with progesterone to avoid miscarriage.
