Yes, it could help: High blood pressure and elevated cholesterol can both be related to low levels of magnesium. There is no contraindication to taking magnesium with those medications and it is likely to help. Be careful to start with a low dose and work your way up. Too much at once can cause loose stools - otherwise you increase the amount until you get the effect you want.
