Light period ?: If there are no concerns about pregnancy, this type of "early" period can occur when ovulation takes place on day 10-11 instead of day 14-15, in which case, the period starts on day 24-25. As a women reaches mid-thirties, periods start to fluctuate. Oral contraceptives, if there are no contraindications, will stop ovarian function, and "regulate" periods. Ask your gyn provider about this.
