Find nits: Nits are the tear drop shaped, whitish egg casings of lice found attached to hair. Lice can be present for 10 days before maturing enough to lay eggs. The tiny lice are seldom seen. If your scalp itches a lot & you find nits you have lice. But you could also have them before the nits show up.
