Alka seltzer: Besides GERD, do you have other medical issues as well? Any problems with your liver such as cirrhosis? If so, you may have ascites. Any problems with your kidneys? If so, you may have worsening on your chronic kidney disease resulting in edema. Better go see your PCP and get checked out.
