Many issues: The only function of the large colon is removing water from your poop & storage. The longer it stays, the drier/harder/more pebbly it will get. If your diet does include foods that push it along, you need to change it and do scheduled emptying, at least daily to start. A doc/dietitian or GI doc can help you reverse the process. It may take a year to fix but it can be done.
