Period "late": If your periods are usually 28-30 days apart, and "being late" is unusual, obtain a serum HCG test for pregnancy, which would explain partially your other symptoms. Home pregnancy tests are sometimes not accurate. If your cycles are occasionally irregular, ovulation may have been delayed, which delays the onset of your period. Stress from any source can delay ovulation.
