Do not worry: As long as the thyroid problem is under control, daily travel is safe. However, it is important that the thyroid issue is addressed by a qualified physician, and is monitored periodically.

What kind of problem: If she is hypothyroid, medication should take care of that and travel should not be an issue. If she is hyperthyroid, that may require more monitoring. She needs to follow the instructions of her doctor and take her medication as prescribed. Wish you and your wife good health!
