I have stomach discomfort, like a burning, hunger-like pain. i have been taking topazole for the past month and while there are days when its under control (and a lot less) there are days when it flares up (like today). i'm not sure what to do?

Tapazole: If you mean tapazole, the medication to treat hyperthyroidism, it is generally well tolerated by the stomach,in my experience. You may have gastritis, an inflammation of the stomach lining or a peptic ulcer. Avoid spices, caffeine,alcohol, nicotine, anti-inflammatory medication like aspirin or ibuprofen. Irritation : Your medication may be irritating your stomach lining. Make sure you are not taking it on an empty stomach. You could also try an H2 antagonist such as Tagamet. Good Luck
