Period "late": On some occasions, ovulation is delayed, which does delay the onset of a period as well. Brown discharge , weight gain, and nausea may be signs of pregnancy, so obtain a serum HCG test (which is very accurate) to be certain. If negative, see your healthcare provider for an exam and testing.
