I put sheets under food to steam. today i found the sheet molten and package said it's made of pp. molten plastic got onto food and eaten by breast feeding mom. it happened twice. wonder if the chemical can cause short/long term effect to baby?

Not to worry: Plastic is indigestible and will pass through the GI tract without entering the system. So there will be no effects on a developing fetus or a nursing baby.
