Birth control pills,: When you miss birth control pills, your uterine lining loses its hormonal support which can cause bleeding. You need to use a backup method of birth control (condoms + spermicide) this cycle in addition to taking your BCPs.

Missed bcp: bldg.?: When an "active" (not placebo or sugar pill) is "missed, wome withdrawal bleeding can occur, and persist even after resumption of the active pills. If this persists, just stop for five days, and start a new pack of oral bcp's.
