Irregular bleeding: After a "late" onset of bleeding , followed by onset of bleeding five days later, you should get a serum HCG test to make sure you are not pregnant. This type of bleeding (off and on with pain increasing) could be caused by a tubal pregnancy (ectopic) which needs immediate attention.
