Many possibilities: Lower abdominal discomfort can be from many things. For pain there, appendicitis is always a concern (pain on right, usually worsens over time, with fever coming on). If one is constipated for several days, stool can back up and cause discomfort or pain. Gallstones, kidney stones, or colon problems can also cause pain. One's primary care doctor or the ER can evaluate. Somebody else should drive.

Take him to the doc: Hi! Lower abdomen pain may have a lot of causes. Please take your husband to the ER or to see your primary doctor. Don`t let him drive. Good Luck!
