Plan B: Taking "Plan B" during your "fertile period" (which is about five to six days, accounting for the life of sperm and egg before and after the egg is available for fertilization) and then stopping, will not stop your period, but breakthrough bleeding will occur when Plan B is stopped after that five to six day time frame. It would be better to take oral bcp's continuously.
