Hoarseness : Hoarseness that extends beyond two weeks deserves more careful evaluation and attention. You should see an otolaryngologist for evaluation of the history of the problem, exam, and possibly a fiberoptic laryngoscopy or video stroboscopy. The history of playing basketball may or may not be a factor, but more information is needed.
