Renewal of bcp's: Most gyn physicians prescribe oral bcp's with refills for about a year, if patients have no medical reasons to not use low dose oral contraception. If you have other medical problems, the physician may want to see you for those but refills for oral bcp's should not invoke a consultation charge unless you are having problems.
