A member asked:

I stopped taking birth control in november and still haven't had my period, could i be pregnant? or does stopping the pill effect my period?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hard to guess: Can do a home urine test. Home pregnancy tests are very accurate and not affected by foods, herbs, common illnesses, sexually transmitted diseases, or medications. A correctly done urine test gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have happened). It is hard to predict exactly when regular periods will return, for an individual woman coming off BC pills.
