Plan B is for emergencies, meaning it should be needed only 1, 2, or 3 times in a lifetime. That means rarely, if ever, use it in an entire lifetime. It should not be used as routine birth control. If having sex and not wanting to get pregnant, always have a good contraceptive method, a Plan A, in place.
