BCP effectiveness: Practically nothing interferes with the actual pregnancy protection. The literature suggests that some antibiotics can interfere with the action of the hormones in the bcp's, but if so, bleeding would occur, since the endometrium will degenerate if sufficient estrogen is lowered as a result: if there is no bleeding seen, your bcp's are working.
