Relatively safe: As a general rule the meds in creams and lotions we apply to the skin surfaces are not absorbed into the blood in amounts that would effect the milk. Vaginal tissue is more absorptive, but even estrogen containing birth control is used in breastfeeding mothers after 6-8 wks.
