A member asked:

I've been loosing mucus like discharge since 30 weeks now 34 weeks doctor knows. will i go in labor sooner than my due date?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

30-34 wks/pregnant: Heavy mucus discharge is very common in late pregnancy, and is not a predictor of when labor may begin. Be aware that a sudden gush of watery liquid may indicate ensuing labor, so if this occurs, see your ob immediately. A mucus discharge is not indicative of a problem, but at your next exam, ask your ob to do a culture to make sure it is not from an infection.
