Other options: Birth control pills that contain Estrogen all may cause nausea. Consider a none Estrogen product such as Depoprovera, an IUD or Implant to avoid nausea

Nausea/bcp's: All low dose oral contraceptives which contain estrogen can make one nauseous if taken on an "empty stomach". Try taking your active pills in the evening after dinner, at the same time every day or within the hour taken on the previous day. If the problem continues, ask your gyn provider about the "mini-pill" which has only progesterone, no estrogen, and provides almost the same protection.
