Post URI: These symptoms may be residua of a viral upper respiratory tract infection leaving you with postnasal mucus dripping and irritation of the pharynx. The bumps you observe are prominent papillae. Drink fluids to keep mucus loose. The dry irritating cough is also an aftermath of the infection. Taking a cough suppressant like robitussinDM suppresses it. See your MD as needed for evaluation.
