GP CAN DIAGNOSE: A General Practitioner can definitely make the diagnosis. The treatment may need to be with a mental health specialist.

Many GP's: feel comfortable and are capable of making that diagnosis. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that they provide on-going care for the mental health aspects of the condition.
